Recap!
November 17, 2012 in Uncategorized
Salutations,
It has been brought to my attention that I obsessively mention squirrels and/or Christmas in just about every one of my blog posts.
So for this one, I will try not to mention the glorious holiday that is Christmas, or the adorable critters, known as squirrels, that frolic along Drury Lane. Drats. Just did!
Pressing onward: This post will be a recap of my week along with the visual aid of some of my mediocre (at best) instagrams!
DU vs. SBPOO
Drury hosted the annual “BOB Highway 13 Catfight” doubleheader monday night against SBU. Both DU men and women were victorious! Huzzah! But apart from the W, the atmosphere of the game was the best part!
Everyone in the student section was going crazy. I mean, crazy. There was even a artisitcsally tasteful banner that had the letters SB followed by a pile of… poop.
Yes. SBPOO.
I actually watched the majority of the game a couple rows behind our bench. It was the perfect spot for my posse. We were within 10 feet of the court, as well as the cute elderly couples in their sweltering layers of Drury apparel.
Fall Cleaning
It was certainly time. I usually try not to let my room get incredibly messy. However, when I was plugging in my laptop charger under my desk, I stumbled upon this precious little human hairball. Within 17 seconds, the vacuum was whipped out and I had completely morphed into a cleaning machine.
This particular hairball was relatively small, I have actually seen full sized tumbleweeds of my hair before.
Ask anyone I live with, or anyone I come into contact with, or even strangers, my hair is everywhere. If you ever find a white/blonde hair on you… I offer my most since of apologies.
I’m an aunt!
I would like all of y’all to meet my nephew, Marco. Does he not just have the most beautiful eyes?
At Drury, or any university really, pets aren’t an option if you live in the dorm. There have been many a time where I’ve wanted to sneak my weenie dogs in… but a fish is the next best thing! My friend Carly purchased this handsome little man last week. I took it upon myself to be his godmother.
My duties include:
- giving Marco compliments
- feeding him extra food when Carly isn’t looking
- admiring his eyeballs
Last thing
This last section doesn’t really have a unifying subject, but I’ll attempt to make it work.
I’m not sure if any of you noticed… but there has been an exponential amount of GORGEOUS sunsets lately. I took this one while dangling my phone out the window from Sunderland’s third floor.
It was a dangerous feat, but this picture was well worth it. I call it, “Sundy-set”.
Clever, no?
I also wanted to mention that last week was Harry Potter week on ABC Family. I had it playing as I did my homework. What I mean by “had it playing while I did my homework” is “I watched Harry Potter while ATTEMPTING to do my homework”.
Everyone have an amazing weekend!
