3 things I actually like about finals week

Finals week doesn’t have to be the worst week of your life. And weirdly enough, I like some things about that week in particular. See what I’m talking about below:
3. Late night breakfast
You’ll know what I’m talking about if you’ve read Tinsley’s blog recently. Every semester, Drury hosts a late night breakfast in the commons. And this year, not only will there be breakfast, but there will be live music (all free, by the way). Read about the event on D.Cal.
2. End-of-the-year lunches/dinners
If you’re a part of a student group or if you work on campus, you may get invited to an end-of-the-year lunch or dinner. Last year, I was invited to dinner with the Mirror at Olive Garden and to lunch with my Web Comm co-workers at Pizza House. This year, I’ll be going to Nonna’s Italian Cafe with my co-workers again. It’s a good way to end the semester because it’s something else to look forward to besides exams.
1. More free time
Technically, regular class schedules end on the Friday before finals week, so it feels like the pace slows down. Finals week always seems to give me enough time to study and work. It’s especially nice on those days where you don’t have a final scheduled.
Is there anything that you sort of enjoy about finals week? Or do you completely dread it?
