…and it’s really all of SUB’s (Student Union Board) fault because I like their ideas for the Drury After Dark events. For example, last Friday night, they gave away free movie tickets (a limited supply) to Drury students at Hollywood Theaters. Thanks to them, I got to see Mama (I like horror movies, by the way).

But this weekend, SUB is giving 225 free cupcakes at the Cup in downtown Springfield during Art Walk. I debated whether I should share this information. Like my coworker in Web Communications pointed out, “I’m not spreading the word…that would mean less cupcakes for me!” However, it’s probably too late. The word has been spread.

Anyway, I guess I just wanted to write out this post to say thank you to student groups, like SUB, who organize these things for students every week. It makes my weekend more enjoyable, rather than just doing homework. I hope to see more of these sort of events in the future.
