It’s so good to be back on the Drury Unscripted blogosphere! Five weeks is way too long to go without blogging, and I’ll admit it – my typing fingers are a little rusty, not to mention I’ve been battling the worst writer’s block of my entire life. I tried to write a story about it on here, but wouldn’t you know – I just couldn’t get it right. I guess that’s the unfortunate thing about throwing all your energy into 3 1/2 years of college academia: once you come out on the other side, there’s a fair chance you’ll have traded your motivation and mental generator of creativity in order to reach your goals. I’m still recovering, but I digress.
I thought I’d start the new semester by looking back on what has been a hectic, often sleepless, generally fantastic break. I started working at a new job, enjoyed the holidays with my family, took off on vacation for a week (definitely the overall highlight!), and cut off all my hair. Since my new job was in Springfield, I didn’t move home this time and stayed every night in a very quiet, very lonely Wallace Hall. Most of Drury was a ghost town for break, but that’s no surprise. After all, that’s what break is all about – it’s a time for us to truly disconnect from campus, because even though we love Drury, students have to separate themselves every once in a while in order to feel refreshed and get back on the horse next semester.
Following are my favorite Instagram picks (I got more into Instagram over break – follow me @molly_katharine!) that explain one of my winter break adventures or another. Check them out, and I’ll blow everyone’s minds later this week with a super cool new blog post. Hover your mouse for each image’s caption and click them to see them larger!
Comment below and let me know which photo you liked best – if you do, I’ll send you a picture of me giving you a thumbs-up.
