What’s Enactus?

Enactus (formerly Students in Free Enterprise – SIFE) is an international non-profit organization based here in Springfield, Missouri. It’s on more than 1,600 college campuses worldwide.

According to the Enactus section of the Drury website, the team  has been named SIFE USA National Champions three times and World Cup Champions twice. Drury Enactus/SIFE has been featured on CNNfn, the Today Show on NBC, and USA Today.

Enactus works with corporations, entrepreneurs, foundations, government agencies and individuals to develop outreach projects that tackle problems using an entrepreneurial approach.

One example of the hard work of Drury Enactus is Art Inspired, a local business in downtown Springfield that recycles paper into meaningful works of art (I definitely can appreciate that).

And after a pretty nerve-wracking application process, I got accepted to be a member. I’m so excited to be a part of this amazing program and I’m glad I can be a part of their future projects.

I’d also like to personally congratulate fellow blogger, Dallas Duncan on also getting accepted into Enactus! You can read his blog at blogs.drury.edu/dallas.
